Halloween crafts for kids: free printable activity sheets

A finished paper Halloween garland with coloured-in ghosts, bats and sweets hanging on a string

Halloween is the perfect excuse to get out the felt tips, crayons, scissors and sticky tape. So we’ve put together a little set of Halloween crafts with free activity sheets, where children can let their imaginations run wild.

There’s no right or wrong way to draw a ghost. Maybe yours needs pink hair? A witch’s hat? A superhero cape? Or the silliest face in the world?

Print out the sheets and let the kids create their very own Halloween world!

Design your own ghost

What does your ghost look like?
On this sheet, we’ve drawn a little gang of blank ghosts who are waiting for some personality. Some might be spooky. Some might be sweet. And some might be completely bonkers.

DIY Halloween garland

Once the characters are finished, they make brilliant Halloween decorations. Colour in the ghosts, bats, skulls and sweets, cut them out and thread them onto a piece of string. You’ll have a lovely little garland for the bedroom, a Halloween party or the sweet table.

And of course, it doesn’t have to be just orange and black. Halloween can be as colourful as you like.

Dress up the ghost

Now it’s time for the ghost to get ready for Halloween. Colour in and cut out the accessories and try out different combinations. Maybe your ghost wants to be a witch? A bat? A superhero? Or a bit of everything at once?

All you need is the printout, some crayons, scissors and a little sticky tape or glue.
