Name Labels for Care Homes

Original price was: £16.95.Current price is: £13.56.

Are you a relative or friend of someone in a care home or nursing home? Many people choose to label clothes and personal belongings such as glasses, cases, walking sticks and slippers. Our name labels are hard-wearing and made from high-quality materials.

Name labels for care homes and nursing homes

In care and nursing homes, residents share communal spaces and everyday items can be misplaced. It’s all too easy for a pair of glasses to be left on the table, or for the knitting to suddenly be a needle short. With name labels, you can easily label your loved ones’ belongings so it’s clearer who owns what. Use the stick-on labels on glasses case, their favourite mug and slippers. They can also be used on clothing — just place the label on a synthetic care label. Once applied correctly, the labels can withstand washes of up to 60°C.

Iron-on labels for care and nursing homes

Alongside stick-on labels, many people choose iron-on labels for the clothes of loved ones in care. Iron-on labels are applied directly onto the garment with an iron and are a permanent way of labelling clothes. With our combo pack, you get stick-on labels and iron-ons together at a reduced price.

How to apply name labels for care homes

Simple to apply, designed to stay put.

Before you start

  1. Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free from any dust or grease.
  2. For clothing, stick to the synthetic care label inside the garment.
  3. For glasses cases, slippers or similar items, give the surface a quick wipe first.

Stick them on

  1. Peel the label from the sheet.
  2. Place it where you want it, press down firmly and smooth out any air bubbles.
  3. Wait 24 hours before exposing to water.
  4. Once cured, they can withstand a 60°C wash, the tumble dryer and even the dishwasher.

How to use iron-on labels

Peel off an iron-on label and place it where you want it on the fabric. Put a sheet of parchment paper over the label before going over it with an iron. The iron should be on a high heat without steam.

Press down and move the iron over the area for 10 to 15 seconds, or until the label has “melted” into the fibres. You shouldn’t feel any raised edges around the label when it’s been applied properly. Wait 24 hours before exposing the label to water.

Both stick-on and iron-on labels are 1.3 cm x 3 cm.
Yes — machine washable up to 60°C and dishwasher safe. Apply to a clean, dry surface and give them 24 hours to cure.
Most smooth surfaces — synthetic care labels in clothes, plus glasses cases, slippers, mugs, walking sticks and most personal belongings. Avoid sticking directly onto fabric or cotton care labels — those need iron-on labels instead.
Yes, but on the inside of the shoe or on the tongue. Avoid the insole, which wears out more quickly.
Yes. Lift a corner with a fingernail or tweezers and peel away gently.
Iron-on labels are designed to be permanent, so removal can be fiddly. Try applying steam over the label to soften the adhesive, then lift with tweezers. A coffee filter under the iron can absorb the adhesive, too. Adhesive remover, rubbing alcohol or stain remover may also help.
Yes — iron-on labels are made for socks, wool and any fabric without a care label.
We start production right away, so there's only a small window for changes. If you have an account, log in to see whether changes are still possible. Once your label has been printed, we can't undo it.
All labels in a set come with the same text. For multiple residents, initials or surnames work well.
Free postage, normally 2-4 working days, straight to your letterbox.
Free from phthalates, BPA and PFAS. Tested regularly under REACH and Prop65.

I wanted labels for my moms clothing & possessions since shes in assisted living.   I ordered & received them quickly a few weeks ago, but i had set them aside.   I finally got around to the project of tagging everything and I must say that the labels are great!  I love that i was able to personalize them even more by adding a design.  Mom is native american so I felt the dream catcher was apropos.  Thank You!!

Very nice labels. Good quality and stick well. I was gifted a set up name labels by a family member in Germany when my child started Montessori and we now ordered a new batch for school. Could have ordered from Ireland but these labels are almost half price compared to any Irish or UK company I could find online and delivery from Germany to Ireland was free and fast. Highly recommend.

I’ve been using these labels for a few years now for anything of my son’s, from winter gear to water bottles and even some sports gear. I love that they’re easy to apply, stay on through truly anything, and yet somehow miraculously are easy to remove without residue or tearing if items get donated or sold. Highly recommend.

I loved these labels. I switched to a different label company last summer because I had a discount and went back to namelabels.com because they are so much better. I love these labels for equipment and clothes. The stay on and are more flexible than the other brand so my kids don't notice them.
