Easter is just around the corner, and what could be cosier than gathering the kids around the table with paper, glue and all sorts of colourful craft supplies? The projects don’t have to be perfect, and it doesn’t matter if things get a little crooked or sticky. In fact, that’s part of the fun!
Here are seven easy Easter crafts for kids you can try at home and have a cosy afternoon of creativity together.
1. Colourful Paper Bunnies
Use ready-made templates or cut your own bunny shapes from pastel card. Glue on small googly eyes, add a pom-pom tail and draw a little nose with whiskers.
Kids can decide what their bunny should look like: happy, grumpy or perhaps a slightly mischievous Easter bunny.
2. Decorating Easter Eggs
Let kids decorate eggs using pens, decorative tape or small stickers. Hard-boiled eggs work well, but if you want decorations that last longer, plastic or papier-mâché eggs are a great alternative. You can also paint the eggs first with watercolours and then add fun details like glitter or feathers.

3. Egg Carton Easter Baskets
Cut small “nests” from an egg carton and paint them in bright spring colours. Once they’re dry, kids can fill them with little figures, feathers, dried moss or paper shreds. They’re perfect for holding small chocolate eggs or for decorating the Easter table.
4. Fingerprint Chicks
Dip a fingertip in yellow paint and gently press it onto a sheet of paper. Add tiny eyes, a beak and little legs, and suddenly you have a whole flock of chicks. It’s a sweet activity that can also turn into homemade Easter cards or small gifts.
5. Felt or Cardboard Bunnies
Have some felt, fabric scraps or cardboard lying around? Cut out two bunny shapes and let the kids glue them together with a bit of cotton wool inside for filling. Add eyes, flowers or other small decorations. It’s easier than it sounds and a fun project for little creative hands.

6. Easter Decorations with Straws and Beads
Cut drinking straws into small pieces and let the kids thread them onto a pipe cleaner together with beads, feathers or pom-poms. The finished “flowers” can be placed in a small vase or hung in the window using a piece of thread.
7. Easter Decorations with Name Labels
Personalised name labels can also become part of your Easter crafts for kids. Kids can add them to decorated eggs, small baskets or handmade decorations. They’re also perfect for small gifts for grandparents or as place cards for the Easter breakfast table. Our name labels come in many colours and designs, including cheerful themes that fit perfectly with the Easter season, from flowers to bunnies.
